Customer Review

Hi Lorri and Ryan

I have taken some time out to write this message to say thank you to you guys and Affordable Kitchens for the supply and installation of our beautiful new kitchen it has exceeded all of our expectations.

From the first day when your surveyor visited us and gave us some ideas out with what we thought we knew Affordable were the right company to use even though we had other surveys. The visit to the showroom really helped also it gave us the opportunity to get ideas of detailed design choice of units, appliances, flooring, sink and taps. At that time we made the right choice with the help from Lorri who gave us all of her truthful advice and years of knowledge to help us decide and it was not always the most expensive items I think she knew we are a practical family.

Any way Dave the one in charge of the work and the fitters arrived on the correct date at the right time and got stuck in removing the partitioning wall and old units, cooker, flooring, leaving a room bigger than I ever expected at one time he even asked me if I was still happy and had I made the right decision?

Within no time the old kitchen and all the plasterboard was gone into a van which arrived to take it away just in time for the new kitchen to arrive with the rest of the team to help carry it all around the back of the house to save trampling through the house. By the end of the day 60% of the units were built and ready to be fitted the next day. Before the team left my house the cleaned up all the rubbish and swept the floors.

Day 2 Dave turned up with the electrician and the plumber and I had chance to speak to them before I left for work, I asked if they could see any issues with my requests of where I wanted things located and the answer was no anything is possible, however Dave did suggest I move the island a bit further away from the ovens, fridge and freezer with all the reasons why, I agreed as it all made sense to me, he also showed me 2 different configurations I could have for the island worktop and I chose the one which suited me better. Came home from work all the units are fitted all cables and pipes are through the walls and ceiling with minimal destruction to minimize repairs at the end.

Day 3 guys arrive on time and ready to go, had a chat with Dave about a couple of things but as normal nothing was an issue, went to work knowing the guys would give it their best but when I came home unexpectedly I was surprised to see 5 vans at my house, so I walked round the back of the house and everyone was gainfully employed either plastering fitting sockets and cookers and cleaning as they went along, Again the worksite was left very clean and tidy.

Day 4 all the guys arrive on time again and got stuck right into the work, I spoke to Dave again regarding a few little changes I would like and one again nothing was an issue he also said he would have all the floor fitted and the utility room door fitted by the time I got home, however the only issue during the whole installation was when they opened the floor tile boxes it was the wrong color, so when I arrived home the whole ceiling was skimmed, door fitted between kitchen and utility room all doors on units work tops fitted tiling had commenced window sills fitted and all looking good. Dave did explain about the tiles and was so apologetic but we all know mistakes can happen and in this case the amount of work what had been achieved was outstanding.

Day 5, spoke to Dave before work and he said if the tiles arrived the kitchen would be finished today, I replied don’t worry if they do they do and if they don’t they don’t. Again I went to work know the guys would do their best. I came home early that day as it was flexi Friday and what I seen was unreal, 4 vans at my house and everyone mucking in with whatever they could, the floor was 95% completed the appliances had been fitted into the utility room all the tiling completed lighting all fitted including under cupboard, ovens all working and lots of cleaning up getting done. The team stayed over to get all the work done and did not leave my house until 5:15pm which was very kind of them to do especially on a Friday.

So in a nutshell I am sure you can guess my wife and I are overwhelmed with our new kitchen and all of our friends and family who have seen it have commented on the quality and workmanship. So on that note we would like to thank you so much all the guys were all qualified disciplined gentlemen, the pre and post service was impeccable they were no hidden costs and all the work was completed in a safe and timely manner, I would and will suggest your company to anyone who I know is planning on getting work done in their house which you can provide and I will certainly use you in the future.

Thank You & Regards
Paul & Christine
